Jade Cockers was officially established in 2003 with the help of Wayne and Debbie Jessee (the unseen part of Jade). With a common goal in mind I began this journey. To breed , show, and handle exceptional quality cockers that are not just finishable but are also able to take on the rigors of a specials career in order to increase awareness about the breed. With the purchase of select breeding stock I am beggining to build a foundation that will not only be able to win in the ring , but can also come home and make a very good house pet as well. My favorite colors are parti's, chocolates, and buffs. However, I do appreciate a good black, along with tan markings. My breeding goals are quite simple:
1. Breed Healthy cockers that are free from the disorders that plaque this breed.
2. Breed as close to the standard as possible.
3. Improve the quality of some of the other lesser known about colors.
4. Most importantly is temperment. A sound cocker should be not only sound in structure but sound in mind and temperment. It should have a willing and pleasing nature and be cable of going beyond the conformation title such as agility or anything else asked of it.
5. My ultimate breeding goal is to improve the genetic gene pool on the chocolate parti and eventually get to the point where my chocolates are able to special and increase awareness.
With the purchase of Janfred's New Kid In Town--Maverick , I personally feel that Jade cockers is off to a very good start in becoming a well known kennel name.
